When configuring a session in the Comms Client Pro product, one of the first is to select a protocol DLL.
By selecting the right DLL following can be controlled:
a) which communication protocol is used to communicate with the Comms Server Pro.
b) which protocol is used to communicate with the airline host.
To select the correct DLL for your purpose, first choose the correct communication protocol towards the Comms Server Pro.
Following versions are available:
1) Protocol to Comms Server Pro is propriaty TCP/IP.
This will use efficient TCP/IP protocol to connect to the 'CCP Clients Control' object in the Comms Server Pro. This can also be used over wide area netwoks, but in some situations depending on configuration, some ports must be opened in your firewall.
The file name format for the DLL's in this category is:
-enk<Airline Protocol>32.dll
where <Airline Protocol> can have the following values
-YY: standard IPARS ALC protocol
-AA: IPARS ALC protocol, American Airlines specific.
-AZ: IPARS ALC protocol, Alitalia specific.

-SR: IPARS ALC protocol, Atraxis specific.
-UTS:standard P1024C UTS protocol
2) Protocol to Comms Server Pro is SOAP.
This will use the open SOAP protocol to connect to the 'Soap Downline' object in the Comms Server Pro. This is a protocol that is a bit less efficient then plain TCP/IP, but it can be used easily over wide area networks without firewall problems (uses HTTP port).
The file name format for the DLL's in this category is:
-enksi<Airline Protocol>32.dll
3) Protocol to Comms Server Pro is Netbios.
This will use the open Netbios protocol to connect to the 'NetBios Downline' object in the Comms Server Pro.
The file name format for the DLL's in this category is:
-enkn<Airline Protocol>.dll
4) Protocol to Comms Server Pro is MATIP.
This will use the MATIP protocol to connect to the 'MATIP Downline' object in the Comms Server Pro.
The file name format for the DLL's in this category is:
-enkm<Airline Protocol>32.dll
