We have investigated your USB installation problem and found a possible cause. You said you have installed on a Windows 2000 machine. In that case you may NOT install the USBNT4 driver (which is also contained on the CD). If you do that the USB devices will not work.

So please check in following way whether this is your problem:

-Check the file size from following file: \WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\SPCUSBDR.SYS

The size should be 46,559 bytes. If its 52,376 bytes the NT4 driver is installed.

To correct this problem do following:

-Plug one SPC into your system.

-Go to the Device Manager and open the Ports node, you should see a Travsys SPC/USB Device 2.2.0.3.

-Right click this device and select properties. Click the Driver Tab, and click the Update driver button.

-Keep clicking next in the wizard until you come to the 'locate driver files' screen. Now select 'specify a location', and press the browse button. Browse to following file: \PROGRAM FILES\TRAVSYS\CSPNT\DRIVERS\SPCUSBDR.SYS and finalize the wizard.

Reboot the system and check if the USB is working by checking following node in the server monitor:

OBJECTS\USBALC-UL\USB info

You should see the Serial number filled in.
