i-DMACS the Travsys CUTE solution
Outline Description
DMACS, Dynamic Multi-Access Check-in System, is a host-based departure control system, comprising multiple communication servers (gateways) and LAN attached workstations. It supports various communication protocols, multiple interfaces to several local databases for security and administration, and an interface to the local Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS). The workstations have extendible graphical user interfaces, and support boarding pass and baggage tag printing. These components form the base of the airport check-in system to provide data communication facilities to the airline departure control, reservation, and other systems.
i-DMACS comprises a Client/Server based configuration. A user log-in facility allows flexible allocation of check-in desk and gate facilities. A server monitor program allows the entire system to be observed. It has been proven to provide a reliable and high availability environment for airline check-in, gate and back offices.
Communication with the airline host systems is handled by the Comms Server Pro application. i-DMACS uses the TCP/IP communication protocol between Communication Server and the Clients.
i-DMACS contains the following components:
· Web Connect server for user authentication and configuration management
· Comms Server Pro for NT (CSPNT - see PD-TS-001)
· Comms Client Pro (CCP - see PD-TS-002)
· User access database
· Graphical User Interface (TSCA)
